Topcon Chosen for Monitoring Survey Instrumentation

itmsoil Holdings, UK, has signed a preferred supplier agreement with Topcon Europe to utilise Topcon's MS AX high-accuracy total station range for its monitoring projects around the globe.  

itmsoil specialises in the design, manufacture, installation and monitoring of geotechnical and structural instrumentation. To complement its geotechnical portfolio, itmsoil has chosen to use Topcon's MS AX range of geodetic sensors. The MS AX will be used on projects that itmsoil is involved with throughout the world.

Mark Kirkbride, CEO of itmsoil, said "A part of our work entails installation of monitoring systems throughout existing rail infrastructure, including in London for the Crossrail project."

Matrix Detection is Topcon's latest technological feature designed to save time and increase efficiency whilst setting up complex arrays of prisms for monitoring systems. Using intelligent algorithms and high-accuracy imaging sensors, the MS AX is able to detect and locate all established prisms, even in low light or dark conditions. Once located, the MS AX then measures the prisms quickly and reliably, virtually eliminating any sources of human error.
