Transforming Geospatial Data into Virtual Reality at INTERACT 2016

The industry keynote speaker has been announced for INTERACT – The Luciad User Conference 2016. Professor Henk Scholten of Dutch geospatial solutions provider Geodan will provide the industry keynote for the conference.

Scholten’s presentation ‘Geocause – Connecting Futures to our Present’ will show how smart interactive 3D solutions can be used to engage users and enable organisations to plan for the future more effectively. Geodan has worked to develop Geocause, a system for building georeferenced virtual environments to engage stakeholders through building, displaying and sharing ideas and plans. Similar to the principles of Pokémon Go, the solution merges virtual worlds with physical ones, creating a state of transreality and gamifying smart governance.

Luciad’s User Conference is an event for geospatial professionals and developers from the aviation, defence, maritime, safety & security and utilities & logistics sectors. It will be held on 28-29 September at Square – the Brussels Meeting Centre.

Registration for the 2016 Luciad User conference is now open and full details can be found at luciad.com/luc2016.
