Zoller + Fröhlich expands 3D scanning options with modular systems
This year’s Intergeo in Stuttgart saw Zoller + Fröhlich (Z+F) introduce its latest addition to the 3D laser scanning market: the Z+F IMAGER 5024 series. This new range, comprising the Essential, Advanced and Supreme models, brings a modular approach to laser scanning, giving both newcomers and seasoned professionals a range of options that adapt to their evolving needs.
The IMAGER 5024 Essential serves as an accessible entry point into high-resolution laser scanning. Z+F has designed this model to be intuitive and efficient, featuring a simplified display that makes operation in the field straightforward and minimizes setup errors. Users can easily manage configurations through a smartphone or tablet interface, making the Essential not only affordable but also flexible; it can be upgraded to the Advanced or Supreme versions whenever projects demand more.
Rotation speed and high data rate
For those requiring additional functionality, the Advanced model builds on this foundation with extended range and data processing capabilities. Its increased rotation speed and high data rate reduce scanning time dramatically, completing high-resolution scans in just 52 seconds. Z+F’s commitment to user-friendly design remains intact here as well, with an interface that combines simplicity with the ability to adjust more complex settings via mobile devices. This model achieves a notable efficiency boost, with scanning times cut roughly in half compared to the previous Z+F IMAGER 5016.
Topping the series, the IMAGER 5024 Supreme is built to meet the highest demands for speed and precision. With a reach extending up to 365m, it supports both close- and medium-range applications and is ideal for intricate projects where detail and accuracy are paramount. Professionals can expect further reductions in scanning time, making it a strong choice for comprehensive and time-sensitive surveying tasks.
Integrating mobile SLAM data with static scans
The entire IMAGER 5024 series is compatible with Z+F FlexScan 22 software, enabling a smooth integration of mobile SLAM data with static scans for improved accuracy and streamlined workflows. The Essential, Advanced and Supreme models are suited to diverse applications, from architecture and construction surveys to historical preservation.
Further enhancing this product lineup, Zoller + Fröhlich has also launched the Z+F TopCam, a wide-angle camera developed to capture colour data with speed and efficiency. When paired with the IMAGER 5024 series, the TopCam accelerates colour data capture by up to 12 times compared to previous models, allowing professionals to process their projects significantly faster while maintaining detail and accuracy. This new release marks another step forward in Zoller + Fröhlich’s mission to support the surveying industry with flexible, high-precision tools designed to adapt to the unique demands of each project.
