Charter for Agriculture Domain Working Group

An Agriculture Domain Working Group of the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) is being chartered as an open forum for the discussion and presentation of interoperability requirements, use cases, pilots and implementations of OGC standards in the agricultural domain. Initiators of the new SWG seek comments from the public on the draft charter. The comment period closes on 31 July 2014. Swiss mini-drone manufacturer senseFly has announced the eBee Ag, a fully autonomous aerial imaging drone for precision agriculture applications. GeoMarc Watermarking Software to USDA Foreign Agriculture Service

GCS Research, a prime vendor on the ASRC Management Services (ASRC MS) Prime Vendor Contract for the USDA, has been awarded a contract to provide GeoMarc digital watermarking technology to the USDA Foreign Agriculture Service (USDA FAS). GeoMarc allows the USDA FAS to embed an imperceptible digital watermark into the pixels of satellite imagery. BlackBridge to Provide Satellite Imagery for Precision Agriculture Services

BlackBridge has entered into an agreement with The Climate Corporation to provide RapidEye imagery of the major agricultural areas across the USA for use in The Climate Corporation's products and services for farmers.
