Nutrient Management Planning Tools for Agriculture

Compass Informatics, an Irish information and location technologies company, has announced its appointment as contractor to design and develop Nutrient Management Software Tools to serve the nutrient management planning needs of Irish farmers. Using web-based tools, digital mapping, and a nutrient management planning ‘wizard’ the technology team will develop tools which allow farmers to target increasingly limited nutrients to where they are needed on their farms. Trimble has introduced yield monitoring and mapping capabilities, allowing combines equipped with a Trimble AgGPS FmX integrated display to accurately monitor and map harvested crop yield and moisture. GeoMarc Watermarking Software to USDA Foreign Agriculture Service

GCS Research, a prime vendor on the ASRC Management Services (ASRC MS) Prime Vendor Contract for the USDA, has been awarded a contract to provide GeoMarc digital watermarking technology to the USDA Foreign Agriculture Service (USDA FAS). GeoMarc allows the USDA FAS to embed an imperceptible digital watermark into the pixels of satellite imagery.
