Doubling Airborne Lidar Data Acquisition

Leica Geosystems' Point Density Multiplier technology for airborne Lidar allows the use of a single laser and scanning mechanism to provide over double the data collection productivity of previous systems. Aerodata Completes Data Acquisition in The Netherlands

Aerodata Int. Surveys (Belgium) has announced the completion of aerial photography of the province of Zeeland (The Netherlands) with her own digital frame camera, the 90-megapixel Vexcel UltraCam-D, at 15cm GSD (Ground Sample Distance). In three days of perfect weather conditions more than 5.000 photos with stereoscopic overlap were taken over an area of around 3.000kmĀ², after which the data acquisition of built-up areas with 7,5cm GSD commenced. SA Vineyard Acquisition Programme

Getmapping subsidiary Geosense (South Africa), in partnership with Precision Surveys, has just completed a successful aerial and ground-based acquisition programme in the Western Cape focused primarily on the wine-producing regions. Vexcel Leads Wireless Data Acquisition Field Study in Alaska

Vexcel Corporation (CO, USA) is conducting a field campaign during the month of June 2005 to characterise the seismicity of Columbia Glacier in Southcentral Alaska using a wireless sensor network developed at its Boulder headquarters. Twenty kilometres of ice have disintegrated in the last quarter century at the ocean-bounded terminus of Columbia Glacier.
