PCI Geomatics Supporting Esri

PCI Geomatics, Canada, has been working closely with Esri to make imagery more accessible to a broader user community. PCI's GeoImaging Accelerator (GXL) technology is currently being used to support the processing of GeoEye data into ortho-corrected and colour balanced image products that will be made available for free through ArcGIS Online.   PCI's automated GXL Satellite image production system will be used to process high-resolution GeoEye imagery. Extended ESRI Data

ESRI (CA, USA) has announced significant additions to the data offered via ArcWeb Services. Highlights of the added data include premium imagery from GlobeXplorer, road network data from NAVTEQ, detailed data of Australia from MapData Sciences, and Italian data from ESRI Italy. With this product, data storage, maintenance and updates are handled by ESRI. The company has also made available OGC Web Mapping Service (WMS) client and server support with the Service Pack 2 release of ArcGIS 9. An improved WMS connector is now included with ArcIMS. ONTRACK Implements ESRI GIS

Eagle Technology Group, ESRIs distributor in New Zealand, has won the contract to implement a Web-based GIS visualisation solution using ESRI's ArcIMS Server for ONTRACK, the New Zealand government agency responsible for ownership and management of the national rail network. The GIS will enable trains to be tracked by satellite and the information fed back to ONTRACK’s train controllers. This will provide the controllers with a geographic view of their network.
