European Space Imaging Joins Forces with Euromap

European Space Imaging (Germany) has announced that the company has started the distribution of imagery from the new IRS-RESOURCESAT-1 satellite to customers in Europe and North Africa. RESOURCESAT-1 collects imagery at resolutions ranging from 5 to 60 metre. The distribution of RESOURCESAT-1 imagery by European Space Imaging is made possible through an agreement with Euromap (Germany). Euromap is the company responsible for the reception and distribution of imagery from the Indian Remote Sensing programme in Europe. DigitalGlobe and European Space Imaging Cooperation Rewarding

DigitalGlobe, USA, and its partner European Space Imaging, Germany, have published their results of the 2011 Control with Remote Sensing (CwRS) Campaign. The CwRS Campaign supports the member states in the implementation of the European Union's (EU) Common Agricultural Policy. The DigitalGlobe constellation outperformed competitors by a wide margin, with DigitalGlobe satellites collecting imagery approximately two times faster than its nearest rival. This enabled DigitalGlobe and its partner European Space Imaging to provide 66 percent of the total EU member states' requirement for very high-resolution imagery, including the most imagery with cloud cover equal to or less than five percent... Jubilee for European Space Imaging VHR Satellite Data

For the 10th consecutive year, European Space Imaging (EUSI) is supporting the European Commission in the Controls with Remote Sensing programme (CwRS) with timely delivery of Very High-Resolution (VHR) satellite data. The annual CwRS campaign involves around 1,000 images. In total, more than 240,000 square kilometres are covered each year as part of the programme. The EUSI has supplied data for an annually increasing number of control sites, resulting in a total of 339 sites collected in 2012, totalling more than 170,000 square kilometres. Since the use of VHR satellite data became operational in 2004, EUSI has been the most... (read more)
