NavCom Technology has released the SF-3050 multi-frequency GNSS receiver with its new Sapphire GNSS OEM board. Live GNSS Service Agreement

Topcon Europe Positioning, The Netherlands, announces an agreement with Lantmäteriverket (administrators of SWEPOS) to roll out a TopNET live service in Sweden. Combining GNSS Positioning Capabilities

Topcon Positioning Systems recently unveiled the IP-S2, a vehicle-mounted, mobile 3D precision mapping and survey system. The IP-S2 combines dual-frequency GNSS signal tracking and positioning and inertial measurement to integrate laser scanning and digital imaging.   Using 3D laser scanners, LIDAR, and/or cameras, the data collected is integrated, time-stamped and geo-referenced. JAVAD GNSS Tracks Galileo

JAVAD GNSS receivers successfully tracked all Galileo satellites from Spirent simulator and produced Galileo-only and triple satellite (Gps+Glonass+Galileo) positions. Up to 27 satellites were traked simultaneously.     The experiments were performed jointly by Spirent and JAVAD GNSS. (read more)

Product Survey GNSS Receivers

In contrast to that of 2005, this product survey on GNSS receivers does not reveal any remarkable technological break-throughs. Manufacturers are increasingly producing systems able to receive Navstar, Glonass and even Galileo signals. This year we have replaced the term GPS (Global Positioning System) by GNSS, because GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) better describes the significance and use of these receivers. From providing only position (where am I?) the receivers have evolved into real navigation systems (how do I get to get where I want to go?)
