IGIplan v1.4.0

IGI has released a new version of IGIplan, which makes the solution more stable, powerful and useful. All new features are illustrated in video tutorials.   One of the new features in the package is live GSD Classification - Colorisation of DTM to determine areas where given data resolution is within your set constraints. This feature is supported for Digital Cameras (GSD), Analog Cameras (Scale) and Lidar (dots/area). It features a snappy live calculation: the classification adapts interactively whilst changing the parameters of the planning. Also added is Area Propose DTM, which dynamically calculates base-length and line distance in relation... (read more)

3D Laser Mapping Launches Cityscape Mapper

3D Laser Mapping (United Kingdom) has developed a mobile cityscape mapper that captures highly accurate 3D modelling data of buildings and streets. The development is an enhancement to StreetMapper, the vehicle-mounted laser mapping system that is already well proven in terrain and highway mapping. StreetMapper is a result of a joint venture with German guidance and navigation specialist IGI mbH. The latest developments for ‘architectural surveying' are currently being evaluated with cityscape mapping projects underway with universities in Germany.            IGI have upgraded their TERRAControl navigation system specially for city modelling applications where there is reduced GPS visibility due to... Additional Support for Phase One iXA Aerial Camera System

IGI, Germany, and Phase One, USA, have announced that the flight planning software, IGIplan, and the flight guidance and sensor management system, CCNS-5, now support the Phase One iXA aerial camera system. The iXA is addressed through the generic camera interface implemented in the CCNS-5. The systems thus greatly reduce the operational costs associated with aerial surveys and aerial image collection. This geospatial solution was made especially for aerial photography. Operators can focus on their work in the office while the solution minimises the workload during the airborne mission. The Phase One iXA, a rugged, high-quality industrial-grade aerial camera system,... (read more)
