INSPIRE Prototype

Safe Software has completed a prototype spatial data transformation solution that supports the requirements of the European Union's INSPIRE Directive. In conjunction with Metria AO Cadastre of Sweden, the FME-based INSPIRE prototype will be unveiled at the INSPIRE Conference 2010 which is to be held from 22nd to 25th June 2010 in Krakow, Poland. INSPIRE stakeholders are able to meet their goal of providing good governance through sharing spatial information across Europe - making it easily and transparently accessible - and do so with readily-available technology. The prototype demonstrates an end-to-end, multiple source solution for INSPIRE utilising three different data sources... CityGML Goes INSPIRE

SIG 3D will place the international OGC 3D modelling standard CityGML for the supply of building models, and terrain as well as production and industrial facilities in the INSPIRE expert groups. The specification of CityGML has been established by SIG 3D. As some members of SIG 3D participate as well in the OGC CityGML Standardisation Working Group, requirements from INSPIRE implementation can be submitted directly in the OGC standardisation process. European Union encourages the set-up of a European Spatial Data Infrastructure by the INSPIRE Directive (RL 2007/2/EG, 15th Mai 2007). 2,5D geodata will be made accessible via internet (web services).... Inspire Conference 2016

Infrastructure for Spatial Information in the European Community
INSPIRE is about efficiently sharing digital spatial data related to the environment between public authorities at all levels of government, across borders and with the public at large. Such requires effective coordination between all authorities involved and a high degree of legal and technical interoperability, which is also pursued in the context of the EU Digital Single Market. As such, the INSPIRE Conference 2016 also aims to show how the implementation of INSPIRE contributes to the European Interoperability Framework and the EU's digital economy in general. The INSPIRE Conference 2016 will take place in Barcelona, 26-30 September 2016 (read more)

OS Reaches INSPIRE Milestone

Metadata about Ordnance Survey’s products have been made available through data.gov.uk, alongside INSPIRE-compliant view services through the OS OnDemand web map service.     The INSPIRE Directive establishes a framework for easier sharing of geographic information among European public bodies and improved accessibility to the public. One of the first steps for organisations producing data which falls under INSPIRE was the creation of metadata. Ordnance Survey’s metadata is now available for other public bodies and the public to access on their website and on data.gov.uk   Customers of the OS OnDemand web map service will also be able to view INSPIRE-related products as a... INSPIRE-Ready Technology

Snowflake Software showcased its two new product releases; GO Loader 1.6 and GO Publisher 1.4 at last week's AGI Community conference, in Stratford-upon-Avon (UK). The releases of the products provide an out-of-the-box platform for organisations to realise INSPIRE compliance, as well as future proof their existing technology infrastructure and eliminate the threat of unnecessary software development or upgrade costs.   At the conference, where ‘realising the value of place' was the theme, Snowflake demonstrated its data exchange software by loading Annex 1 INSPIRE data with  the latest release of its GO Loader software, which can then be used with a...
