Trimble Unveils Subfoot GPS Solution for Mapping

Trimble (CA, USA) has introduced its next generation of GPS receivers for GIS data collection and mapping, the GPS Pathfinder ProXH receiver. It is an integrated GPS receiver, antenna and battery all in a one unit. The ProXH receiver uses Bluetooth technology for cable-free communications to a field computer and Trimble's new H-Star technology to provide subfoot (30 centimetre) positioning accuracy. PCI Releases ProSDK and ProPacks 1.1

PCI Geomatics (Canada) has release a new version of the ProPacks collection and the PCI Professional Software Development Kit (ProSDK), used for building highly automated and customised workflow solutions. Ordnance Detection Aided by ProMark 120

Bombariado, headquartered in Hungary, has upgraded its detection capabilities with the addition of the Spectra Precision ProMark 120 GNSS system to its mobile unexploded ordnance-locating equipment. The ProMark 120, which replaced a mobile GIS receiver, provides significantly more precision without compromising on weight. SDT Announces CartoPac Support for Trimble GPS Pathfinder ProXH Receiver

Spatial Data Technologies (SDT) (CO, USA) has announced that their CartoPac 1.6 mobile mapping software now supports the Trimble GPS Pathfinder ProXH receiver. CartoPac users now have the option to take advantage of the GPS Pathfinder ProXH receiver’s subfoot (30cm) accuracy. Trimble ProXH users benefit from CartoPac’s interface for mobile mapping, data collection, in-field decision support and navigation. Geelong - Pictometry and 3D Model

The City of Greater Geelong (COGG) in Victoria has awarded a contract for supply of Pictometry multi-angle oblique imagery and a 3D city model. Recognition of Cross-border Education

On 1-2 November the Group on Earth Observations members, ITC, and ISPRS Commission VI organised an executive seminar on the recognition of cross-border education initiatives at ITC in Enschede, the Netherlands. The seminar brought together providers of (international and cross-border) capacity building such as representatives of the ITC initiated GI-NET network and the Directors of the Regional Training Centres affiliated to the UN Office for Outer Space Affairs.
