Seafloor Systems Expands Sales Support Services in Latin America

Seafloor Systems has announced the appointment of Mauro Romani as sales support engineer for the Latin American market. Mr Romani, who previously served as a geotechnical equipment specialist for Golder Associates based in Lima, Peru, brings his customer service, sales engineering and technical support experience into this new position, reporting to Josh Grava, vice president of sales. He will directly support dealers and customers in Latin America with sales and training as well as product demonstrations for the Seafloor Systems range of echosounders and remote and autonomous survey vehicles. Mr Romani will be based in Lima and can be contacted via telephone (+51... Whether based on Lidar, photogrammetry, radar, sonar or other remote sensors, systems for geodata acquisition create millions or even billions of 3D points. To be useful, the data needs to be organised, combined, georeferenced, measured and analysed, and that in turn requires software. High-resolution Bathymetric Lidar from Slow-flying Aircraft
Airborne bathymetric Lidar is an ideal tool to study underwater features in the usually rather clear waters along the coast of Australia. Due to the remoteness of many of the continent’s coastlines, this is often the only economically viable option for large-scale bathymetric mapping at high resolution.
