Partnering on HMA-I Project

ERDAS and Spot Image announce a partnership, increasing both organisations' involvement in the Heterogeneous Mission Accessibility - Interoperability (HMA-I) project.     The European Space Agency (ESA) issued the HMA contract in 2005, defining the architecture and interoperability standards for harmonized data access across the ground segments of the European and Canadian missions contributing to the ESA's Global Monitoring for Environment & Security (GMES). ERDAS developed the EO Proxy Framework to expose legacy catalogs through Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) HMA interfaces. GEO Call for Participation in GEOSSPilot

OGC has announced that a Call for Participation (CFP) in Phase 2 of the GEOSS (Global Earth Observation System of Systems) Architecture Implementation Pilot (AIP) has been issued by the GEO (Group on Earth Observations). Romania EU Land Regulation Standards

The Romanian government is implementing a Land Parcel Information System/Integrated Administration and Control System (LPIS/IACS) based on ESRI’s ArcGIS Server software. The implementation is expected to meet stringent European Union (EU) agricultural land regulations, which is essential for the country’s admission to the EU. Faraz Ravi New Chairman of ASTM Committee on 3D Imaging Systems

Faraz Ravi, Bentley’s director of product management for point clouds, has been appointed chairman of the ASTM International Committee E57 on 3D Imaging Systems. Formed in 2006, Committee E57 develops standards for 3D imaging systems, including optical range cameras and laser scanners that capture point cloud data.
