ADC WorldMap (WI, USA) has announced the release of ADC WorldMap Digital Atlas Version 5.0. Along with the exciting updates, the new product now provides complete and current national and sub-national boundaries for the world. TomTom Plans Bid for Tele Atlas

TomTom NV intends to make a cash offer of €21.25 per ordinary share for Tele Atlas NV. The Offer Price represents a 32% premium over Tele Atlas' average closing share price for the three months prior to 20 July 2007. Tele Atlas Maps for Samsung GPS Devices

Tele Atlas, a global provider of digital maps and dynamic content for navigation and location-based solutions, and Samsung Electronics, a mobile phone provider, have announced an agreement under which Samsung will use Tele Atlas maps for its GPS-enabled devices. Samsung will be able to provide the ultimate mobile experience with Tele Atlas’ suite of enhancement products. Tele Atlas Extends Relationship with Infotech

Tele Atlas MultiNet Digital Map Database

Tele Atlas has announced that the new version of its MultiNet digital map database is the first global digital map database to use community-provided data to validate changes. Released in October, MultiNet version 2008.10 incorporates community input provided by TomTom users in Europe and North America that strengthened Tele Atlas' map change detection and validation process. Tele Atlas Adds Full Coverage China

Tele Atlas (The Netherlands) has signed a license and distribution agreement with Beijing Changdi Youhao Mapping Technologies Co., Ltd., an affiliate of China-based Ritu Information Systems Inc. The agreement gives Tele Atlas Asia- Pacific full map coverage of 337 Chinese cities, complete with censor codes. Tele Atlas Joint Venture in Indonesia

Tele Atlas NV (The Netherlands) has opened an Indonesian joint venture, PT Tele Atlas Indonesia. Formed as a business partnership between Tele Atlas and Indonesian map solutions provider PT Navindo Technologies, the new company will focus on delivering a highly accurate digital map database of Indonesia and on in-country marketing and sales activities. PT Tele Atlas Indonesia will initially focus on enhancing its map database of core population centres, including Jakarta, Bandung and Surabaya, and is expected to deliver map products starting in early 2007.
