Tele Atlas Selected by Microsoft to Power Web and Mobile Maps

Tele Atlas has signed an agreement to extend its relationship with Microsoft Corporation to power its mapping and location platform services. C-Astral Fields Mini UAS ATLAS C4EYE in Benchmark Trials with NATO Forces

C-Astral, a Slovenian integrator of small unmanned systems and a member of the Terra Drone group, has announced it has been successfully fielding its new mini UAS ATLAS C4EYE (Advanced Technology Light Acquisition/ATAK System) in a series of closed trials, involving the cooperation of manned, unmanned and NATO JTAC assets. Aerometrex Acquires Atlass

Aerometrex, Australia, has acquired the businesses of the Australian aerial Lidar specialists Atlass (Aust.) Pty Ltd and Atlass Aviation Pty Ltd. The businesses have been combined into a single entity, Atlass-Aerometrex Pty Ltd. The acquisition extends the Aerometrex group’s aerial surveying capabilities and provides new business growth opportunities. Atlass will continue to trade from its Rockhampton base. The business has a strong client base in Queensland and New South Wales and is set to expand further. Chinese Joint Venture TeleAtlas

TeleAtlas (NH, USA) and Shanghai ChangXiang (SIS), a Chinese specialist in information processing and digital mapping, announced the establishment of their joint venture partnership NaviAtlas and its approval by Chinese government authorities. NaviAtlas is based in Shanghai. The joint venture, combines mapping technology of Tele Atlas with local market knowledge and expertise of SIS. Agreement for South Korea Maps

Tele Atlas has announced a partnership with South Korea-based SK Energy (SKE) to license the SKE digital maps and enhanced content of South Korea for distribution to the global Tele Atlas customer base. The move expands Tele Atlas map coverage in the APAC region to 13 countries and territories.

Community Input to Add Map Content

Tele Atlas has unveiled MultiNet 2009.06 with 18,000 kilometres of new road geometry added from GPS measurements to build out the road network of Romania. Navigation Maps for Russia

Tele Atlas (Germany) has established a close co-operation with the Roskartographia agency, which is supervised by the Ministry of Transport in Russia. The result is that Tele Atlas is able to provide navigation maps for driving in Russia in a joint project under the supervision of the Ministry, an essential factor in map making of Russia.
