Publish or Perish

A sentence in the preface of the book Web Cartography – Map Design for Interactive and Mobile Devices written by Dr Ian Muehlenhaus (see my review here) particularly caught my interest. Preetha Pulusani announced her retirement from the Open Geospatial Consortium, Inc. Board of Directors. She recently resigned as president of the Security, Government & Infrastructure (SG&I) division at Intergraph Corporation to pursue career interests outside the geospatial industry.
