Biography

Dr Emmanuel Ayodele obtained a PhD in Civil Engineering (Transport) from the School of Engineering, Newcastle University, UK, with a thesis on the application of Bluetooth wireless communication and technological approaches to intelligent traffic monitoring and management. His research interests are in the areas of geomatics and intelligent transport systems (ITS) such as traffic management and modelling, autonomic systems, intelligent mobility, sustainable transport, UAV surveillance and mapping, location-based systems (LBS), hydrogeomatics, and data science. His broad-based background has been applied in solving many problems ranging from engineering surveying and construction to hydrography, geophysical prospecting, traffic management and road safety. Dr Ayodele has won various local and international awards, honours and fellowships that include the prestigious PTDF PhD Overseas Scholarship Scheme (OSS) and the UNESCO/ICTP/Boston College Award. He is currently a lecturer at the University of Lagos, Nigeria.
