Feature articles

GIM International welcomes professional contributions for publication in any forthcoming issue. We encourage the submission of short articles (1,000 -1,500 words) dealing with leading-edge technological developments in land surveying, photogrammetry, remote sensing, cartography, Lidar, GPS, creation of digital surface models, GIS, 3D city modelling, location-based services, cadastre and geo-databases. In addition, and to a lesser extent, subject matter may cover applications of geomatics technologies such as natural resources, agriculture, forestry, disaster management, archaeology, and city planning. Also welcome are articles that review the status of geomatics, or parts of it, within any particular country or region, as well as business-orientated articles and articles focusing on geomatics education.

We discourage academic articles and those written for a specific scientific audience, and papers focusing upon specific, commercial geomatics products.

Submission

Before sending in an article, please ensure that it complies with our Feature Guidelines GIM

We would ask you please to read through these guidelines carefully. All material should be submitted in as complete a state as possible, and by email, text separate from illustrations.

Contributions and any further queries may be directed to Wim van Wegen, editorial manager, at wim.van.wegen@geomares.nl.

Review and editing

All articles for publication are subject to review by our editor-in-chief. After acceptance articles will be edited and checked for English language style and grammar. So a clearly comprehensible text is more important than perfect spelling or grammar. All material submitted to the publisher (Geomares Publishing) and relating to GIM International will be treated as unconditionally assigned for publication under copyright, subject to the Editor’s unrestricted right to edit and offer editorial comment.
