About Trimble UAS

Gatewing is a Trimble company and one of the leaders in the design and manufacturing of professional fixed-wing unmanned aerial systems (UAS) for mapping and surveying.

The Gatewing X100 UAS has been designed with the focus on the accuracy of end results, ease of use and safety. As the typical X100 users are not pilots, Gatewing has made an aeroplane that is very easy to use. You do not need any specific skills or experience to operate the UAS. If you can follow procedures carefully and faithfully, then almost anyone can operate the X100. These procedures ensure that the system is fully operational, meaning that the flight plan is properly pre-programmed, that local field conditions are taken into account, and that the operator and spotter are ready for action.

After a fully automatic flight of typically 45 minutes, you can start processing the images into highly accurate orthophotos and digital surface models (DSMs). Gatewing Stretchout™ (included in the mapping kit) pre-processes the image data for import into third party processing software of your choice. The Gatewing X100 is compatible with most third party UAS processing software. When flying at a default altitude of 150 m, you get a GSD of 5 cm. The DSMs have LiDAR-like accuracy.

The Gatewing X100 UAS makes it possible to map areas that were once unreachable or simply too dangerous, in an economical  and highly accurate way, without being dependent on other parties. It’s aerial mapping in your hands!
