Speaker: Barry Gleeson MRICS is Programme Engineering Manager for BIM and a stalwart member of the Survey4BIM group. Survey4BIM has successfully highlighted several (5) key geospatial elements that will derail adoption of level 2 and 3 BIM and this joint lecture will focus on the groups work to date (on Accuracy) and its future work programme (Interoperability). Although it might seem that BIM has gone off the boil in the UK of late this is not the case and BIM has essentially started to become an essential part of wide area asset management. The speaker will also update on the UK BIM Alliance http://www.ukbimalliance.org/  and BuildingSmart initiatives and the international outreach of the Survey4BIM group.
