PCI Geomatics, a world-leading developer of remote sensing and photogrammetric software and systems, has announced the availability of its Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) image analysis in Geomatica online training sessions. Participants in the course will explore data-processing techniques in Focus, a module of Geomatica. The course will take participants through basic techniques in ingesting, calibrating and displaying SAR data. Hawaii Consortium Awarded Major Grant for Pacific Emergency Preparedness

A consortium of universities and other organisations has been awarded a major grant for emergency preparedness training for the states of Hawaii and California as well as the U.S.-Affiliated Pacific Islands (USAPI). Topcon Solutions Site and VIP Centre

On 27th April Topcon Positioning Systems (TPS, USA) officially opened Phase 1 of the renovation of its 12-acre acre training and test site and dedicated the new VIP Welcome Center. The test site was also renamed the Topcon Solutions Site.     Ray O’Connor, TPA president and CEO, and Mick Yamazaki, chief operations officer, cut the ceremonial ribbon to officially open the new venue. Rwanda Development Gateway Graduates GIS Trainees

The Rwanda Development Gateway Group, in partnership with the Research and Training Centre in Geographic Information systems & Remote Sensing of the National University of Rwanda, recently graduated its first group of trainees. The participants of this introductory training programme now have basic theoretical and technical skills for implementing GIS projects.
