Surveyors working on busy roads are constantly subjected to close misses from passing traffic; it can be worse. Helicopter photogrammetry is a survey technique designed to prevent fatalities. A complete, dated record of the project area can be economically delivered and accessed at will without having to revisit a dangerous survey site. The authors describe this solution. Under the leadership of the Japan Association of Surveyors, the new Fodis Measure3D system was benchmarked against total stations and single frame array cameras for detecting RFID tag positions. Implementation ERDAS Photogrammetry Solutions

Department for Planning & Infrastructure (DPI), a government agency in Western Australia has selected several ERDAS photogrammetry solutions for analysing coastline movements, engineering, maritime facility mapping and nautical charting. DPI is implementing LPS, ERDAS' signature photogrammetry solution that integrates software tools to streamline production-mapping workflows.
