3rd DiMENSIon Conference

The 3rd DiMENSIon Conference was held in Paris on 28th and 29th October 2004. This was an event related to 3D scanning, bringing together users of the Trimble 3D scanning and data editing system, as well as many non-users from various industries keen to learn about new developments with the technology.
For the first time this year, the conference took place over two days. Four informative sessions showcased Trimble’s laser scanning solutions in civil engineering, architectural and heritage, and power and process industry applications, as well as emerging markets such as forensics. One main areas of interest during the two-day conference was the application of laser scanning to forensic work, which is beginning to emerge as a major service opportunity. The conference featured presentations on work in Germany, the UK and the US. More than one hundred participants attended this year's conference.
