Aveva Acquires LFM Software

Zoller+Fröhlich's software division within Z+F UK has been acquired by Aveva. This sale includes only the division of Z+F which produces the LFM <a href="http://www.gim-international.com/news/id3657-Infrastructure_Modelling_Software.html">software</a> suite in the UK and is based on a very long-running and close partnership between the two companies. It allows Aveva to expand its offering in the 3D data capture market.  

Z+F will keep its facilities in Manchester for hardware sale and support and will work in the  software business very close together with Aveva. This acquisition opens up new possibilities for Z+F with Z+F hardware in the future.

The acquisition of the software division of Z+F UK enhances Aveva's design automation solutions. One of the benefits will be a tighter integration between laser data and Z+F software, allowing reductions in the time required to create intelligent as-built 3D models based on laser scan data. The acquisition brings the LFM software suite of Z+F to Aveva.
