Border Guard Use Intergraph

The Hungarian Border Guard has deployed a Command and Control System (BOGCOS) based on an Intergraph geospatial data management product. The system supports control operations both along the national boundary of Hungary of 93,000 square kilometres and inside the country, on three operational levels: district, regional and national. Based on Intergraph's GeoMedia, it integrates resource and asset management and patrol dispatch and routing subsystems to manage incidents and improve the decision-making process. The system supports the display of both vector and raster content, including a military topographic map, 3D surface-model and ortho-imagery. The integration of digital map handling with mobile command-and-control technology, two-way communication and automatic vehicle-location based on GPS supports BOGCOS dispatch functions.
