Geo Connect Asia 2024 to unveil geospatial's transformative power

Geo Connect Asia (GCA) is set to return to the Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore on 6 March and 7 March 2024. Since its establishment in 2019, GCA has become the premier trade event for the geospatial, positioning, digital construction and remote sensing industries in the region. GCA 2024 aims to delve into the unprecedented growth and transformative potential of geospatial technologies in Southeast Asia, driving economic development and informing governmental decision-making across the region.

The solutions offered within the geospatial and related sectors serve to interconnect ASEAN countries and present opportunities to tackle borderless challenges in areas such as environmental monitoring, infrastructure development, supply chain management and natural resource management. This trend is underscored by the burgeoning Asia-Pacific geospatial information and technology market, projected to reach a value of USD216 billion by 2025.

With ASEAN's population exceeding 660 million and its strong ties to maritime, agricultural and natural resource sectors, there exists a shared platform for exchanging solutions and nurturing collaboration. As local needs fuel innovation, expertise flourishes in fields like remote sensing and location-based analytics. These advancements, coupled with the rapid evolution of geospatial solutions, provide predictability for planning and addressing critical challenges such as rising sea levels and infrastructure monitoring.

Industry-leading geospatial companies

With the theme 'Geospatial Driven Impacts: Underground, Land and Sea to Sky', GCA 2024 is set to bring together more than 100 companies, 70 speakers and more than 3,000 attendees from ASEAN and beyond. GCA also announces the participation of Asia’s first Chief Heat Officer, Bushra Afreen, from the Adrienne Arsht-Rockefeller Foundation Resilience Center in Dhaka, in the conference segment. This demonstrates how governments are recognizing the need to be a part of these important conversations.

Numerous industry-leading companies, government agencies, institutions and startups have confirmed their attendance, including AECOM, Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), Lands Department Hong Kong, Petronas, Manila Water and Portcoast (Vietnam), Ministry of Health Singapore, GCA Strategic Partner Singapore Land Authority, among many others. Leading exhibitors include Trimble, Oracle, NavVis, and pavilions from Singapore and Thailand.

Organized by Singapore-based Montgomery Asia, Geo Connect Asia 2024 will be held alongside co-located shows Drones & Uncrewed Asia, Digital Construction Asia and the inaugural Marine & Hydro Asia.
