GeoNorth Announced Release CartoPort

GeoNorth (OR, USA) has released CartoPort, a product to author maps for ArcIMS. It allows users to publish their ArcGIS maps to ArcXML preserving cartography and settings such as scale dependency, layer visibility, transparency, text masking and group renderers.

CartoPort is an ArcGIS tool providing a radically simple process for publishing maps to ArcIMS ArcXML files. CartoPort makes this easy, by interrogating an ArcMap Document and exporting the cartography and settings found in your MXD to an ArcXML file. Non-compliant data sources such as personal Geodatabases, CAD files, and ArcInfo Coverages are automatically excluded from the resulting AXL. Developed in .NET, CartoPort also features a ‘no touch’ deployment.

CartoPort was originally developed by GeoNorth to assist with rapid ArcIMS site creation to support our MapOptix developers and consulting services teams.
