Intergeo Exceeds Expectations

With over 16,000 visitors, a further rise in the proportion of international visitors to a total of 22% and 1,450 congress participants, Intergeo 2009 has come to a close after three days in Karlsruhe (Germany). Theese figures did more than exceed the expectations of the organiser, the Deutsche Verein für Vermessungswesen e.V. Gesellschaft für Geodäsie, Geoinformation und Landmanagement (German Association of Surveying German Society for Geodesy, Geoinformation and Land Management (DVW). Initial canvassing of the 475 exhibitors shows that 90% of the companies achieved their targets at the 15th Intergeo and all were united in their praise for the high quality of contacts they made.

"Here in Karlsruhe, Intergeo has demonstrated very impressively that it is the industry's most important international meeting point, even in difficult times," says Dr Hartmut Rosengarten, Chairman of the Intergeo Exhibitor Advisory Board, on behalf of the exhibiting companies.
"This year, participation by companies from 30 countries saw us break the '30' barrier for the first time and increase the proportion of visitors from outside Germany by 5% over the last two years to a figure that now stands at 22%," says Olaf Freier, CEO of Hinte GmbH and Intergeo Project Manager, underlining the global value and importance of Intergeo as the number one international industry forum.

Visitors to Intergeo 2010 in Cologne from 5 to 7 October can expect 95% of exhibiting companies, government authorities and associations to be there as they have already announced their intention to take part.

INTERGEO 2010 will be held in Cologne.
