Intergraph Geospatial 2014 Launched

Intergraph, USA, has launched Intergraph Geospatial 2014, which builds upon the foundation introduced in 2013. This release provides enhanced analytical tools, mobile support and tremendous cost savings associated with managing big data. The portfolio includes GeoMedia, ERDAS IMAGINE, ImageStation, ERDAS APOLLO, GeoMedia Smart Client, GeoMedia WebMap, Geospatial Portal, Geospatial SDI, Intergraph Mobile MapWorks and Intergraph Mobile Alert.

Key enhancements built within Intergraph Geospatial 2014 are:

  • Create Customised Analytics: users can leverage highly intuitive spatial modelling for creating powerful data analysis once, and repeat it indefinitely. In addition, the new spatial modeller allows users to work with point clouds and other specialised operators, as well as model and define real-world objects that depict complex relationships and behaviour. Users can also exchange Esri file geosdatabase data across users’ geospatial enterprises.

  • Real-Time Reporting in Mobile Environment: users can see, edit, validate and update their GIS from their mobile device in the field, in real time with Intergraph Mobile MapWorks.  Intergraph Mobile Alert provides crowd-sourced incident information to organisations such as governments and utilities. The new ERDAS ECW/JP2 SDK on Android, iOS and WinCE devices allows third-party developers to use Intergraph’s data compression technology to solve mobile problems, which include removing storage constraints and delivering high-performance image data.

  • Big Data Management in the Cloud. ERDAS APOLLO has been expanded as the core enterprise data catalogue with the management of basic vector data to the Advantage and Professional tiers of this offering. GeoMedia Smart Client users can convert datasets from the server-side vector cache to raster output as .png or .jpg tiles. ERDAS IMAGINE also quickly solves many big data problems through its 64-bit hardware support.
