Leica GI Releases Leica TITAN 2008

Leica Geosystems Geospatial Imaging (GA, USA) has released Leica TITAN 2008. This online solution allows users and communities to share geospatial data, web services and location-based content internal and external to an organisation, and to a variety of client applications.

Complete with intuitive navigation tools, Leica TITAN empowers users to share imagery, terrain, 3D models, location-based content, feature datasets and web services, while retaining digital ownership rights. Using the free web-enabled Leica TITAN Client, which includes the Leica TITAN Viewer and Geospatial Instant Messenger, a global network of users interact, download, and share data. Users then create a MyWorld, a geographically enabled personal space to upload data, set permissions and share content with other users in the network.

Also supporting secure, permission-based data distribution for entire organisations, the Leica TITAN GeoHub enables an organisation to participate as a community on the Leica TITAN Network. By implementing the Leica TITAN Master Server, an organization can create a private and isolated network, functioning without connecting to the Leica TITAN Network.
