New ScanMagic v.2.0

ScanEx R&D Center (Russia) has released version 2.0 of ScanMagic software, designed for Earth remote sensing data processing. The updated version supports popular cartographic services of Google, Microsoft and Yahoo.

By adding Google Maps, MS Virtual Earth and Yahoo! Maps global geo-services to the new ScanMagic version, the user can work now with global multi-terabyte archives of space images in real-time. Simple handling of cartographic services data using ScanMagic software interface enables to quickly and easily switch between different sources, do space images positioning and scaling, take GCP geographic coordinates and many more.

This ScanMagic software version allows the users to resolve the notorious problem of the lack or absence of vector maps, to geolocate the new image with acceptable accuracy and to detect current coverage changes by comparison using functional access to geo-portals.
In addition, the new ScanMagic version has a Vector Editor, new image segmentation functions, METOP (Europe) and FengYun (China) meteo-programs data processing features and other useful software tools.

ScanMagic is a stand-alone Windows-based easy-to-use and powerful application, to view, analyze and process remote sensing (RS) data. In most cases ScanMagic allows the user to create remote sensing end-products cost-effectively without involving additional software tools.
