Upgrade GeoObjects

Blue Marble Geographics (ME, USA) has released version 4.0 of its map display library GeoObjects, offering a 32-bit COM control for spatial data access, display and analysis, needed for developing GIS applications on any Windows platform with most industry-standard vector and raster file formats. GeoObjects is the core engine behind the company’s internet mapping service BeyondGeo and its GOIMS internet mapping server. Version 4.0 features new support for Oracle database connectivity specifically for Spatial Data Object (SDO) geometry types. Also new is GeoConvert, which allows for map-file translation between formats like MIF, TAB, DWG, DXF and SHP. Another new feature is support for Well-Known Text (WKT) coordinate reference system definition. Users can define their own object types and datum shifts. GeoObjects deployment is not restricted with software license control; a flexible license model allows for unlimited distribution. Contact Blue Marble for available options.
