URISA Board of Directors Candidates Announced

URISA’s Leadership Development Committee recently presented its recommended slate of candidates to the URISA board of directors. The board has approved the slate, announced below, for its 2014 election. In a few weeks' time, URISA members will have the opportunity to review each candidate’s visionary statement and professional profile and cast their votes. Those elected will begin their three-year Board terms following GIS-Pro 2014, URISA's annual conference in New Orleans, this September.

For URISA president-elect

• Rebecca Somers, GISP (Somers-St. Claire GIS Management Consultants – Fairfax, VA)

• Teresa Townsend, AICP (Planning Communities – Raleigh, NC) 

For board of directors international seat (to fill one position)

• Valrie Grant, MSc, GISP (GeoTechVision Enterprises – Kingston, Jamaica)

• Corey Halford, BSc, MBA, GISP (City of Airdrie, Alberta Canada)

For board of directors (to fill 2 positions)

• Alex Hepp (EagleView/Pictometry – Rochester, New York)

• Brent Jones (Esri –  Vienna, Virginia)

• Kevin Mickey, GISP  (The Polis Center, Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis) 

• Martin Roche, GISP (GeoPlanning Services  – Orlando, Florida)

At the close of GIS-Pro 2014 in New Orleans, the terms of service for these board members will conclude:
