On 23 and 24 April 2009, a conference themed ‘Conference on Cartographic Challenges: movement, participation, risk' will be organised in Bergamo (Italy). ISPRS Technical Commission I SymposiumThe ISPRS Commission I Symposium took place at Calgary Convention centre from 15th to 18th June, in parallel with the first Canadian Geomatics Conference the theme of which was: Convergence in Geomatics - Shaping Canada's Competitive Landscape. The opening ceremony included an address by Professor Orhan Altan, ISPRS president. Plenary speeches were given by Glen Hodgson, vice-president and senior economist of the Conference Board of Canada, and Jim Garinger, former Governor of the State of Wyoming. Nigerian Cartographic Conference

The 32nd Nigerian Cartographic Conference is to be held from 1st to 5th November 2011 in Kaduna (Nigeria). A call for papers is issued with a deadline of 15th September 2010. During the event, there will be an exhibition of maps and drawings and poster presentation.
