Blue Marble at GITA GIS for Oil & Gas

Blue Marble Geographics will be exhibiting at the 2010 GITA GIS for Oil & Gas conference from 25th to 27th October in Houston, Texas, USA. In Booth 410 Blue Marble shows how coordinate transformation and geospatial translation tools can benefit to globe transformation solutions.

Bridging the gap between accurate survey data and user-friendly GIS data, the Blue Marble Desktop translates survey and CAD data into GIS data, leveraging a suite of coordinate conversion tools and intelligence. Blue Marble's geospatial data manipulation and conversion solutions are used worldwide by thousands of GIS analysts at software companies, universities, oil and gas companies, civil engineering, surveying, technology, enterprise GIS groups, government and military organisations.

Blue Marble Desktop version 2.2, features support for raster Digital Elevation Models (DEM) like Digital Terrain Elevation Data (DTED) and USGS Spatial Data Transfer Standard (SDTS) and more feature enhancements, will be demonstrated on the exhibition floor. The new desktop version also includes enhanced batch file processing features, such as a new batch interface for point data conversions and the ability to use an unlimited number of desktop jobs in a batch conversion. Calculator v7.5 includes support for the Canadian users, Alberta Township System legacy grids, versions 2.1-2.6, 3.1. 3.2 NAD27, 3.2 NAD83, and version 4.1. Users can convert single points or files of points between the ATS system and any of our many geodetic or projected coordinate systems. The Desktop interface has been streamlined to facilitate setting up and running batches. This also enables an unlimited number of jobs to be run in a batch.

The largest, most accurate and reliable coordinate transformation datasource will now reach out to include version 7.5 of the EPSG database. Learn why GIS analysts and surveyors that need to bridge the gap between highly accurate survey data and user-friendly GIS data turn to Blue Marble.
