FUGAWI Releases Map of America

Northport Systems (Canada) has released FUGAWI Map of America, a new software program that brings USGS 1:100,000 scale topographic maps of the entire continental USA in a low-priced package. The application provides map viewing and printing, 3D views, as well as support for real-time GPS navigation with a third-party receiver. It comes with pocket versions for both Palm OS and Pocket PC. Valuable features include a place name search with 1.8 million listings, and points/routes plotting capabilities for navigation. For professional use, all FUGAWI Map of America products are compatible with the advanced FUGAWI GPS Mapping Software. The software is designed to run on Windows (98, 2000, ME, XP) or NT4. Minimum requirements include a 500MHz processor, 256MB RAM and a DVD drive.
