GeoMoS Update

Leica Geosystems has upgraded GeoMoS to version 5.0 to increase productivity and accuracy when detecting, analyzing and visualizing structural movements. Leica GeoMoS 5.0 now supports the new Leica TM30 sensor especially designed for monitoring applications. Furthermore the new ‘Adjustment' add-on and the new ‘Slope Monitoring' feature contribute to accuracy and productivity.

The Leica TM30 sensor is supported, reaching up to 3,000 metres with millimetre accuracy. The sensor offers accurate angle measurements of 0.5" or 1" to meet the highest standards. Distances can now be measured to an unprecedented precision of 0.6 mm + 1 ppm on prisms. The new sensor also provides automatic prism detection up to 3,000 meters with millimetre accuracy. A built-in telescope camera can be used to take images of targets. This visual control feature makes numerous site visits no longer a necessity.

Leica GeoMoS Adjustment supports all combinations of geodetic measurements from multiple total stations, levels and/or GPS/GNSS. The detected movements are qualified by their statistical significance allowing for more informed decision-making.

The new ‘Slope Monitoring' functionality implemented in Leica GeoMoS allows the calculation and visualization of movements of natural and excavated slopes. The TM30 is able to measure unstable points from a far, safe distance. The precisely 3D measured data provides vital information about speed and direction of movements. GeoMoS Analyzer supports different computation methods and presents the results in simple and meaningful graphics.
