Intermap Independent Software Vendor Partner Autodesk

Intermap Technologies Corp. (CO, USA) announced its partnership with Autodesk as an Independent Software Vendor (ISV). Intermap's 3D elevation models for the United States will be combined with AutoCAD Map 3D and Autodesk MapGuide Enterprise applications to enable users to gain access to terrain mapping data essential in a wide range of applications and markets.

Intermap's solutions are designed to enhance the business of Autodesk and their mutual customers in several engineering and geospatial markets by providing a solid foundation layer of terrain data essential to the accurate planning, modelling and visualisation of any application where elevation matters.

Initially, Intermap's digital elevation models for the United States will be bundled with, and available through, AutoCAD Map 3D and Autodesk MapGuide Enterprise. A wide range of Autodesk users - from architects to civil engineers and from city planners to managers of water districts - will be able to access highly accurate and uniform elevation models for use within the Autodesk application. These high-resolution models will enhance a myriad of solutions, including background referencing, site planning, visual impact presentations, and managing natural and civil resources. The bundled products will be available in 2008 from the Web sites of Intermap and Autodesk.
