IP-S2 3D Dataset for Autodesk

Topcon Positioning Systems has signed a data license agreement with Autodesk to use Topcon's IP-S2 3D Mobile Mapping System data sets in the advertising, marketing, training and distribution of their software where desired. The IP-S2 datasets are in the form of extensive geo-referenced, colourised point clouds.

 

Topcon is a member of the Autodesk Developer Network, and provides sample data to assist in targeted software product development. The IP-S2 features dual-frequency GNSS tracking, high-accuracy IMU integration and odometry for fast, safe data collection at a cost well below conventional ground mapping methods.

Typical applications of the IP-S2 are:

•3D Mobile mapping and surveying;
•Roadway condition assessments;
•Pipelines, Railways, Utility Corridors, Waterways;
•Homeland Security; and
•Disaster Management.
