More RADARSAT for Norway

The Norwegian Space Centre has pre-purchased US$ 2.8 million worth of Canadian RADARSAT-1 data and products for the 2004-2006 period, extending the RADARSAT-2 agreement worth US$ 10 million signed in January 2003.
Norway’s satellite ground receiving station operator KSAT, formerly Tromsø Satellite Station, was one of the first certified RADARSAT-1 network stations in 1996. The KSAT international marine services Oil Spill Detection, Ship Detection and Ice Mapping Services rely extensively on RADARSAT-1.
