New Xerox Wide Format Colour Printing System

Xerox Corporation (UK) has introduced the Xerox 8160 and 8142 Wide Format Colour Printers. The 8142 prints at widths of up to 42 inches. The 8160 has a printing width of up to 60 inches and a maximum capacity of 150 square feet per hour, whereas the closest comparable system operates at 60 square feet per hour. In addition to the new printers, Xerox has designed and pre-qualified a complete range of Xerox papers and special media products to produce quality colour output from the 8160 and 8142 printers. Innovations in the new Xerox systems that improve productivity are, for instance, a faster evaporation drying system, an output take-up roll and ink bottles that are easier to swap. The products will be sold in North America, Europe and Latin America. In Europe, prices vary by region and country, and will be announced locally.
