Océ Optimises Support for Autodesk Products

Océ (The Netherlands) has optimised support for printing from Autodesk products including AutoCAD 2006 software and Autodesk DWF Viewer and DWF Composer with the new Océ Windows Printer Driver 1.9. The Océ Windows Printer Driver 1.9 has been optimised in close collaboration with Autodesk's development teams to produce high-quality and fast printouts, especially when printing design data directly from AutoCAD 2006.

The DWF powerful, secure, free technology from Autodesk allows design data to be shared easily from AutoCAD or any design application. DWF files are often 1/20 the size of DWG files, are print-ready, and support up to 60 million DPI for fast, high-quality printing. The downloadable Autodesk DWF Viewer supports viewing and printing of 2D and 3D DWF files; DWF Composer enables faster design review cycles with tools for project teams to print DWF, DWG, DXF, raster, and Autodesk Inventor files as well as perform redline, annotation and measure functions. The new Océ Windows Printer Driver 1.9 makes printing DWF data from DWF Viewer or DWF Composer quick and easy.

The Océ Windows Printer Driver 1.9 includes many beneficial features for both designers and IT staff. Using direct, bidirectional communication with the Océ TDS and TCS printing systems, it displays current printer and media status information. Together with setting templates that can be defined, re-used and shared, designers get prints that are right first time, every time.
