Racurs to Supply Forestry Enterprises with Software Tools

Racurs, a photogrammetric software developer in Russia, has won the World Bank’s tender to supply forestry enterprises with software tools with a contract amount of US$167,200.

As a result digital photogrammetric system PHOTOMOD was delivered to forest regulation companies in St. Petersburg, Arkhangelsk, Krasnoyarsk and Khabarovsk. In total 29 workplaces were organised.

Delivered software system allows processing of aerial and space images, image interpretation for forest inventory both in mono and in stereo modes. It also allows orthophotos and forest regulation plans creation based on highly effective digital technologies of image processing.

Supply with modern software permits to bring in changes in traditional technologies based on the use of analogue photos and hardcopy maps as well as to increase productivity of geodata preparations.
