Sokkia Selected for Construction of Bangkok Airport

Sokkia (Japan) has delivered thirty SET530R reflectorless total stations for the construction of the new Bangkok International Airport, also known as Suvarnabhumi or Golden Land. The project encompasses approximately 32 square kilometres (8,000 acres) and will cost about US$ 4 billion. The SET530Rs were selected for the construction of the passenger terminal complex, the world’s largest single structure built with a glass and fabric membrane. The airport is scheduled to open officially in September this year to replace Donmuang Airport.
