Source Code for ECW JPEG 2000 SDK
ER Mapper (Australia) has released the source code to its ECW JPEG 2000 Software Development Kit (SDK). This allows the addition of support for large geospatial images in ECW and JPEG 2000 format. The format can now be implemented with any operating system. Modifications can be reintroduced to source libraries. As a JPEG 2000 vendor, ER Mapper is committed to develop its own 100% compliant JPEG 2000 implementation in order to provide solutions for multi-terabyte JPEG 2000 images. The kit and source are free to use for Open Source applications and projects. Commercial software products can use the free license for unlimited decompression / limited compression, or pay a one-off and royalty-free payment for unlimited decompression / unlimited compression.
