Photogrammetry software developer SimActive has announced that processing in the cloud is now officially supported by Correlator3D. Users can subscribe to an online computing service, such as Amazon EC2, and run Correlator3D on a virtual machine.  Correlator3D is a patented end-to-end photogrammetry solution for the generation of high-quality geospatial data from satellite and aerial imagery, including UAVs. Quadrupling Seismic Processing Capacity In Egypt

Spectrum's Egyptian joint venture, Spectrum-Geopex has completed the first phase of a significant computer systems upgrade at its seismic data processing centre in Nasr City, Cairo that will quadruple its seismic processing capacity.     The recently completed first phase of its expansion programme built upon previous upgrades in 2007 to increase the CPU count at its networked computer centre by a further 50%. NovAtel Inc. (Canada) has released its Version 7.80 GrafNav/GrafNetTM, GrafNav/GrafNet Static, GrafNav Lite and GrafMov post-processing software. This latest software release includes significant advancements such as Precise Point Positioning (PPP), enhanced GLONASS processing and other features. The new embedded PPP processor offers many advantages to users. It permits dual frequency carrier phase processing without a base station. Sentinel-5P data open to the public, and Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS) has begun processing with detailed forecasts anticipated later in 2018. Lidar systems on terrestrial and airborne mapping platforms have been proven to be an effective tool for generating highly accurate, dense point clouds for a variety of applications. NCTech, a developer of reality imaging systems, has announced its ColourCloud software is being hosted on Google Cloud Platform. At the Google Cloud Next ’17 conference, Intel confirmed that the next-generation Intel Xeon processor family (also known as Skylake) is now available on Google Cloud Platform.
