New Satel Radio Modem

Satel (Finland) has released the Satelline-1915, a multiple-function, wide-range of output power, and low-energy consumption data communication tool. Applications may include industrial and housing complexes, vehicle fleet monitoring, surveillance and control of remote objects, and securing of private property. “In designing the Satelline-1915, we paid special attention to the dependability of the transferred data,” said Marko Kempas, Satel R&D manager. “Good receiver sensitivity and selectivity as well as using the Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FH-SS) technology, minimises interference from other radio communications.” To ensure communication reliability, Satelline-1915 sends every data packet multiple times in a row as well as requiring... Harxon Launches Smart eRadio Solution for RTK Applications

Harxon has introduced the smart eRadio from its radio modem series, a long-range and power-efficient solution designed to support high-precision GNSS RTK applications in surveying and precision agriculture. Harxon eRadio is enabled with intelligent serial baud rate identification for different RTK devices. It can automatically identify RTK serial baud rate with a radio data cable and is available in a plug-and-play form for easy connection between the eRadio and RTK. Due to the high transmitting power from 5W to 35W, transmission data can be up to 19,200bps/s over a connection distance of between 50 and 80 kilometres, depending on the... (read more)

Easier On-site GPS Signals

The new eBridge, from Champion Instruments, USA, enables GPS network corrections to be broadcast wirelessly from existing RTK Radios (Pacific Crest, Satel, TrimMark, ArWest, etc.), via the internet, right to the project site, directly to machines. eBridge eliminates the need for troublesome Bluetooth DUN Phone connections and a traditional GPS Base Station (or ‘tower’) and can receive internet signals, wherever a Real-Time Network (RTN) exists.   This is also the first RTK Bridge that can use the faster 4G networks available today via mobile hotspots and is ready to make 5G connections when they become available.   The Champion RTK...
